Event Details

You're invited to the Citizen Science Workshop at LA Makerspace.  A monthly series where researchers, teachers, and students can meet to collaborate on projects as well as develop new research which can be conducted in the classroom.

The theme this month is students and citizen science.

For this workshop we'll have a talk from Dylan Veccione, who help to found his own environmental monitoring non-profit Reefquest.  Then we'll go into some additional local projects students can get involved with in Los Angeles, such as the Natural History Museum's BioSCAN project.  Finally, we'll wrap up with a discussion of the new citizen science program for high school students starting at LA Makerspace.
